FOGHORN / HARANGUE
Galleri Ahnlund | Umeå | 1998

Foghorn / Harangue #1
Foghorn / Harangue, Wallpaintings in acrylic, blasted windows, pendent ball speakers, sound,
dimensions variable, installation view.

The wallpaintings worked as tableaux that suggested a closed room seen from a number of distorted perspectives with sliding temperaments. The monologue that was heard, searched with rhythmical variations, to imitate a dialogue. A number of books symbolized a desire to find a way out of the closed room. Together these elements created a feeling of after the night before the dawn.

The exhibition contained two rooms with four
wallpaintings, the sound of a voice in a piece of abstract monologue, and Artist Book's.
